Subject:

Response to Inspection Procedure 95003 Information Request

Reference:

1. Letter from NRC to TVA, "Inspection Procedure 95003 Information Request," dated February 21, 2013 2. Letter from TVA to NRC, "Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit 1, Preparation for Nuclear Regulatory Commission Inspection Procedure 95003," dated February 15, 2013 In a letter dated February 21, 2013 (Reference 1), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) provided a request for documents to facilitate an IP 95003 inspection at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN). Reference 1 requested that the documentation be posted on the Certrec Inspection Management System (IMS) website and that each team member be provided access identifications and passwords no later than March 18, 2013. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has posted the requested documentation on the Certrec IMS website and, as requested, has provided access identifications and passwords to each inspector.

TVA identified that an incorrect date was contained in a letter submitted February 15, 2013 (Reference 2), to the NRC. In Reference 2, TVA referred to the BFN Integrated Improvement Plan Summary and the criteria to be used by TVA leadership to assess BFN readiness for an inspection by NRC using IP 95003. TVA stated in the letter that, with respect to the first criteria, "BFN evaluated each of the significant events or conditions that occurred from June 1, 2011 to present for which the associated cause evaluations have been completed." The June 1, 2011, date is in error and should have been July 1, 2011.Therefore, the corrected statement is "BFN evaluated each of the significant events or conditions that occurred from July 1, 2011 to present for which the associated cause evaluations have been completed."
