I /.p Secretary REQUEST FOR A HEARING WITH RESPECT TO THE NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES, AND NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FORA HEARING, FOR SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2; DOCKET NOS. 50-327-LR AND 50-328-LR The Office of the Secretary has received via E-Filing on May 6, 2013, a petition for leave to intervene and request for a hearing from the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League, Bellefonte Efficiency and Sustainability Team, and Mothers Against Tennessee River Radiation.

This request was submitted in response to the Federal Register (78FR14362; March 5, 2013) notice issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff that provided:

Notice of Acceptance for Docketing of Application and Notice of Opportunity of Hearing Regarding Renewal of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-77 and DPR-79 for an additional20-Year Period. The hearing request and four supporting documents are located in the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System with Accession No. ML13126A404.
