The license presently authorizes the annual export of up to 9,250 terabecquerels (TBq) of self-illuminated tritium (H-3) light sources and devices to SRB Technologies (Canada), Inc. The purpose of the amendment is to: 1) request an additional 46,250 TBq of H-3; 2) remove the 9 , 250 TBq annual export limit; and 3) extend the date of expiration from December 31, 2018, to December 31, 2023. Before taking action on this new request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
