License Nos.93-585 R2' 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 On September 1, 1993, the initial report of the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) for Surry Power Station was transmitted for the period of April 5, 1992 through July 3, 1993. The results were presented during the September 14, 1993 SALP meeting held at Surry. We appreciate having had the opportunity to meet with you on September 14, 1993 to discuss the assessment results. We have reviewed the initial SALP report and concur with your recognition of the high level of performance achieved by Virginia Power at Surry. We intend to maintain that high level of performance, as well as demonstrate continued improvement, during the
