SUBJECT: NRC BIENNIAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE INSPECTION
REPORT NO. 50-155/96007(DRS)

Dear Mr. Donnelly:

On September 12,1996, the NRC completed an inspection at your Big Rock Point Nuclear l
Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection. j
!
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these areas, the l
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, I
interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress. l
l
The inspection included implementation of your emergency plan and procedures during i
your emergency preparedness exercise. The results indicated that you successfully
demonstrated the capability to implement your approved emergency plan.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter,
its enclosures, and your response will be placed in the NRC Pubiic Document Room (PDR).
