Action for Inoperable Extended Range Neutron Flux Instrumentation and Technical Specification 3.4.1.4.2 Action c" (NOC-AE-07002234, ML080350037)
In Reference 1, STP Nuclear Operating Company submitted a revised License Amendment Request (LAR) for approval by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). In order to support the STP Unit 2 Fall Outage, this letter-requests that the NRC approve proposed ACTION 5.a. to, Technical Specification 3.3.1, Functional Unit 7 for the extended range neutron flux instrumentation for the one less than minimum channels operable condition and approve the proposed change to ACTION c. to Technical Specification 3.4.1.4.2.
The change to Technical Specification TS 3.4.1.4.2 is an administrative change that does not affect any technical requirements.
STPNOC requests that approval of proposed ACTION 5.b. to Technical Specification 3.3.1, Functional Unit 7 for the two less than minimum channels operable condition be deferred until additional information is provided to the staff.32366875 NOC-AE-08002354 Page 2 of 3 This change to defer approval of part of the proposed amendment does not affect the determination of no significant hazards provided in the original LAR (Reference 2).There are no commitments in this submittal.
