NPF-12DELAY IN COMPLETION OF COMMITMENTS FOR PATH FORWARD FORRESOLUTION OF GENERIC SAFETY ISSUE (GSI)-191 Letter from Thomas D. [ML13140A007]

South Carolina Electric

& Gas Company, acting for itself and as an agent for South CarolinaPublic Service Authority, hereby submits notification of the delay in completion of the remaining four (4) commitments outlined in the reference above. VCSNS stated that "Comparison of plantspecific core fiber loading with the PWROG Comprehensive Analysis and Test Program for GSI-191 Closure is currently scheduled for May of 2014." The Pressurized Water Reactor OwnersGroup has notified licensees that the WCAP/topical report for Estimating In-Vessel Fiber LoadUsing the Cold-Leg Break Methodology (PWROG PA-SEE-1 090) is now scheduled to besubmitted to the NRC by the end of November 2014. Providing for the evaluation of NRCconcerns and sufficient preparation for corrosion loop testing, it is projected that the final volumeof the WCAP will be transmitted to the NRC at the end of the first quarter in 2015. There are nodate changes required by this delay since the commitment due dates were presented astimeframes, not specific dates, for completion after the issuance of the WCAP.If you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact Mr. Bruce L. Thompson at(803) 931-5042.
