VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 AND ISFSI NOTIFICATION PURSUANT TO 10 CFR 72.212(b}{1) PRIOR TO FIRST STORAGE OF SPENT FUEL UNDER A GENERAL LICENSE
Pursuant to 10 CFR 72.212, "Conditions of general license issued under 72.210,"
paragraph (b)(1 ), Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion Energy Virginia) is notifying the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of our intent to begin loading Surry Power Station (SPS) Units 1 and 2 spent fuel into Transnuclear (TN) Americas NUHOMS EOS storage casks under the general license at SPS. Loading activities are scheduled to commence on or about May 2, 2022. Dominion Energy Virginia will use the TN Americas NUHOMS EOS storage system in accordance with the NRG issued Certificate of Compliance No. 1042.
