VENDOR INSPECTION OF AREVA NP
Dear Mr. Pierre Aubry:
This letter documents the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of Areva NP to review implementation of your quality assurance program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Appendix B, and 10 CFR Part 21. Specifically, the quality assurance program will be reviewed as it pertains to reconciliation of contracts as related to the issues identified during the 2016 Multinational Design Evaluation Programme inspection regarding the products supplied to the U.S. nuclear operating fleet. As discussed through email, the inspectors plan to arrive at the Le Creusot, France facility on Monday, March 11, 2019, and will conduct the inspection through Friday, March 15, 2019. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
