The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your application dated January 15, 2013, for the renewal of Operating Licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (SON). In support of the application and in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and Part 54, Tennessee Valley Authority also submitted an environmental report for SON. This letter provides information related to the NRC staff's environmental review of the application.

The meetings will be held at the Soddy Daisy City Hall, 9835 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379. The first session will be held in the afternoon, and the second session, covering the same subjects, will be held in the evening. The NRC will present an overview of the environmental review process and will describe how the process will be implemented for the review of the SON license renewal application.
