Request for Addi-tional Information-Shutdown Cooling System Relief Valves.

Dear Mr. Knighton:

Reference (1) requested that APS provide the NRC with additional information concerning the PVNGS Shutdown Cooling System (SDCS) relief valves for the Staff's generic review of the need for rapid depressurization capability (PORV's) on those Combustion Engineering (CE) plants that have no PORV's.

The APS response to 'this request will be submitted by the C-E Owners Group on the CESSAR docket.

The estimated date for completion of this task including transmittal of results is August, 1984.
