Dear Mr. Denton:

Subject:

Secondary Water Chemistry Control This is in response to your letter of July 31, 1979 regarding secondary water chemistry control at North Anna Unit Nos 1 and 2.

We agree that, in lieu of Technical Specifications, a more effective approach to control of secondary water chemistry would be to inatitute a license con-dition that requires the implementation of a secondary water chemistry moni-toring and control program containing appropriate procedures and adninistrative contrcls.

Ue will submit, by September 1,1979, a description of our secondary chemistry progran and the associated license anendment requests.

Very truly yours, rf' ? 'l..
