Plant operators sere testing the diesel-driven fire pump on Monday, May 19, 1980 when they received a high temperature alarm. During that morning, the fire pump was started three times due to fire system testing; each time. | Resident Inspector, at 1420 hours on May 19, 1980. | ||

The pump was running the third time from 1116 until 1208 hours when it was idled down and then shutdown due to a high temperature alarm.
