An audit has been conducted which included inspection of             a sample of flanges-and fittings in the following areas on McGuire Unit 2.
An audit has been conducted which included inspection of a sample of flanges-and fittings in the following areas on McGuire Unit 2.
(a) Socket weld flanges using greater than schedule 40 pipe for weld size.

(b) Socket weld flanges using less than schedule 40 pipe for weld size.

(c) Socket weld fittings using greater than schedule 40 pipe for weld size.

In regard to Item (a), a complete reinspection was made of socket weld flanges using greater than schedule 40 pipe. One hundred and eleven welds were inspected with forty-three rejects. Under Item (b) one hundred welds selected at random were examined. Four of these welds were rejected. One weld was .187 inches below the minimum requirements. The other three welds had spots ranging from

RESPONSE

An audit has been conducted which included inspection of a sample of flanges-and fittings in the following areas on McGuire Unit 2.
