50-369 UNIT: McGuire #1 DATE:

7-15-82 NARRATIVE SUF9fARY Month: June, 1982 McGuire 1 began the month operating at 75% power.- A control runback from 75%

to 50 % power occurred on June 5 when a failed transmitter tripped the "B" feedwater pump.

It was returned to 75% power in a few hours.

The loss of more than one (1) reactor coolant flow transmitter in the same loop resulted in a unit trip on June 13.

One transmitter was out and a momentary loss of voltage due to an inverter problem caused another transmitter to fail low. After needed maintenance was completed, the unit was returned to service on June 15 and increased to 75% power.

Reactor power was reduced to 50% on June 22 following the completion of the thirty day test run at 75%.

An incorrect pressure switch setpoint caused a turbine control runback on June 23.

The unit was returned to 50% power within two hours.

McGuire 1 was removed from service on June 24 to inspect the steam generator tubes. A loss of offsite power test was successfully completed during the chutdown. The outage continues.
