Energy           Commission, an agency of the government of the State of Rhode Island.             The Commission was established pursuant to Title 42, Chapter 27 of the General Laws of Rhode Island.           Section 42-27-2 authorizes the Commission to construct and operate a research reactor.

Section 42-27-4 authorizes the General Assembly to annually appropriate a sum sufficient for the Commission to carry out the purposes of the Act.             The Act providing for the establishment of the reactor is contained in Chapter 142, Laws of 1958.
