The Hatch Emergency Plan requires that two after hours exercises be conducted during a five-year period, one between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and midnight and one between midnight and 6:00 a.m. The 6:00 p.m. to midnight exercise is due to be conducted in 1988. The Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) shares the after hours exercise requirement with Plant Hatch; however, they are not scheduled for evaluation by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) until 1989. FEMA evaluation is required for the state to receive credit for their after hours exercise.
