Omaha Public Pcver District (0 PPD) Nuclear Reorganization This is to formally advise you of Omaha Public Power District's nuclear organizational changes.

Our reorganization is designed to (1) increase communications, (2) improve the Fort Calhoun Station Unit No.1 operations and support function performance, and (3) provide the structure to most effectively and efficiently attain our goal of Excellence in Operations.

Primarily, the organizational changes are being implemented in the following areas:

a.

Consolidation of all Nuclear Engineering and Technical Services func-tions into one newly formed Production Engineering Division.

This includes the creation of System Engineer positions.

The Division Manager for the Production Engineering Division is Mr. Sudesh K.

Gambhir.

b.

Conversion of the Nuclear Production Division into the Nuclear Oper-ations Division with the functions of Nuclear Licensing & Industry Affairs, Training, and Administrative Services each organized into separate departments.

The Managers of these departcents will report directly to the Division Manager, along with the Manager - Fort Calhoun Station and the Manager Security Services.

Additionally, the position of Assistant Manager - Fort Calhoun Station has been created.

The Division Manager for the Nuclear Operations Division will be Mr. Kenneth J. Morris, formerly the Division Manager - Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.

Conversion of the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Division into the Quality & Environmental Affairs Division, to include the establish-ment of a Nuclear Safety Review Group.

The Manager of this group will report directly to the Division Manager - Quality & Environmental Affairs.

The Division Manager for this Division will be Mr. Richard L. Andrews, formerly the Division Manager - Nuclear Production.

The effective date for the organizational changes outlined above is July 1, 1988.

I have attached separate Division level organization charts for your information and reference.

As of July 1, 1988, all routine correspondence regarding Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 and Docket No. 50-285 should be addressed to me as provided below:
