Serv \\ce Water (SSW) System. Our last report, logged TXX-88476, was submitted on Ju.se 22, 1988.

The purpose of thit, report is to update the status of the corrective actions implemented to date.

In TXX-88476, we listed several Unit I corrective actions which we anticipated would be completed by October 28, 1988.

The following corrective actions have been completed. The documents associated with this work are in the process of I

TXX-88757 October 28, 1988 Page 2 of 2 The following is the status of the remaining corrective actions being implemented to resolve this deficiency:

1 The revised estimated completion date for development of the corrosion monitoring plan to monitor SSW System corrosion rates is December 1, 1988.

2.

Draft operating procedures (as described in item 5 of the corrective actions contained in TXX-88476) are in review.

The estimated approval date for issuance of these procedures has been revised to December 1, 1988.

3.

As previously stated in TXX-88476, the replacement of water absorbing gaskets with non-water absorbing gaskets is being done on a case-by-case basis as the flanges are opened for maintenance or other reasons.

Additionally, it was previously comitted in TXX-4762 to eliminate a flow induced vibration problem at 1-SW-026 via use of a longer pipe nipple.

This problem was actually eliminated by utilizing a shorter, thicker pipe nipple.

Our next rcoort, which will be submitted no later than July 29, 1989, will detail our corrective actions for Unit 2 installations.
