Subject:

Licensed Operator Qualification Program On April 3,1987, a meeting was held with NRC Regional Representatives to discuss the Detroit Edison Operator Requalification Program. The emphasis of the meeting focused on Licensed Operators and Cycle 3 Training. As a result of this meeting, a Confirmatory Action Letter (Reference 2) was issued.

Reference 3 provided Detroit Edison's response which committed that on-shift Licensed Operators would receive additional training in the current Cycle 3 Requalification Program which will be completed by May 15, 1987.

In discussing Reference 3 with Region III. additional information was requested regarding all other personnel holding an Operating License who did not complete the 1985 Cycle 3 Training or Substitute Training. Attachment 1 identifies those individuals by name. These individuals will be examined on the material covered in the substituted training and will receive additional training in current Cycle 3 Requalification Program which will be completed by May 15, 1987.

Pursuant to 10CFR 2.790 A (6). Detroit Edison requests that this attachment be withheld from Public Disclosure.
