UNIT 1 Unit 1 generated 851,981 megawatthours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 102.1 percent.
UNIT 1 Unit 1 generated 851,981 megawatthours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 102.1 percent. Unit 1 operated at 100 percent power throughout the month of April.

UNIT 2 Unit 2 generated 324,342 MWh (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 39.0 percent.

APRIL 1999 I.

SEQUOYAH OPERATIONAL

SUMMARY

UNIT 1 Unit 1 generated 851,981 megawatthours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 102.1 percent.

Unit 1 operated at 100 percent power throughout the month of April.

UNIT 2 Unit 2 generated 324,342 MWh (gross) electrical power during April with a capacity factor of 39.0 percent.

Unit 2 was in coastdown to the Unit 2 Cycle 9 refueling outage at the beginning of the month.

The refueling outage began on April 18, 1999, at 0100 Eastern daylight time when Unit 2 was removed from the grid.

Unit 2 remained in Mode 6 at the end of April.

II.

CHALLENGES TO THE PRESSURIZER POWER-OPERATED RELIEF VALVES (PORVs) OR PRESSURIZER SAFETY VALVES,

No PORVs or safety valves were challenged in April.
