The attached McGuire Unit 2 Steam Leak Investigation and Report describes investigation ,
and actions that were taken and are planned as a result of the steam leak through Unit j 2 "A" steam generator secondary side drain line. i The report is the product of two investigations: f A. A comprehensive review of the actions prior to, during, and in recovery from the j event has been conducted under the leadership of E. M. Geddie, Station Manager.
L Corrective actions were identified and inc!uded in the Report. !
i B. An independent examination was conducted by a Significant Event inspection Team (SEIT) under the leadership of W. M. Sample, Safety Assurance Manager, -i L' from our Nuclear Services Department. ;
The rcsulting recommendations have been reviewed and appropriate actions taken or planned as described in the Report.
