The attached McGuire Unit 2 Steam Leak Investigation and Report describes investigation and actions that were taken and are planned as a result of the steam leak through Unit j
2 "A" steam generator secondary side drain line.
i The report is the product of two investigations:

A comprehensive review of the actions prior to, during, and in recovery from the j
event has been conducted under the leadership of E. M. Geddie, Station Manager.
L Corrective actions were identified and inc!uded in the Report.

An independent examination was conducted by a Significant Event inspection Team (SEIT) under the leadership of W. M. Sample, Safety Assurance Manager,

from our Nuclear Services Department.
The rcsulting recommendations have been reviewed and appropriate actions taken or planned as described in the Report.
