Proposed Rule: Regulatory Framework for Fusion Energy Systems Date(s) and Time(s): July 12, 2023, 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM ET Location:            Webinar Category:            This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
 
==Purpose:==
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public that the staff has commenced work on a proposed rule to develop a regulatory framework under 10 CFR Part 30 for fusion energy systems and to develop guidance under NUREG-1556. The staff encourages public feedback during the meeting. The staff will consider the feedback; however, no formal responses will be issued.
