Dear Mr. Zwolinski:
Our letters of September 30, 1985 and November 15, 1985 provided information fregarding the status of. identified deficiencies, unresolved and open items
-resulting from an Environmental Qualification Audit held during August 1985.
An action item resulting from the audit involved additional reviews-of
_ performance specifications against acceptance criteria to ensure equipment
' perfonnance-in the event of a design basis accident and to enhance existing documentation, if appropriate. Our November 15, 1985 letter indicated additional documentation was being accumulated for the remaining open items.
'The open items included instruments which must function within a given accuracy or tolerance to ensure proper function.
The following information supplements and clarifies our current status as discussed with Mr. John A. Zwolinski, Project Director, BWR Project
-Otrectorate Number 1 on November- 29 and 30,1985. - As of' November 30, 1985,
-our technical review of the remaining open items from the November .15,1985 letter was completed. .Tne documentation associated _with the technical review was' included in our Environmental Qualification Records, and these records were considered to be complete to the best of our knowledge in providing additional documentation on the open items.
The technical information was provided to our Eouipment Qualification Vendor this- date for incorporation into a formal report on this subject. Minor revisions _to tne Environmental. Qualification File may result from this effort
-but are not expected to change the conclusion of our technical review. The formal . report is scheduled to be issued in December to further enhance existing documentation.
