==SUMMARY==
OF UNIT 1 OPERATING EXPERIENCE July 1986                        ,
7/1  Unit 1 began this reporting period at full reactor power (825 MWe).
7/10 At 2055, Unit 1 reduced power to 720 MWe when No. 12 Circulating Water Pump was secured. The pump had to be secured when shear pins on No. 12 A&B Traveling Screens failed, causing high differential pressure.
7/15 At 2300, Unit.1 began reducing power to 700 MWe for Condenser Water Box cleaning .
7/16 At 1028, Unit 1 returned to full power (825 MWe).
7/20 At 0500, Unit 1 tripped because a failed surge capacitor caused No. 12B Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) to trip.
7/21 At 1835, the Unit became critical, and the breaker was shut at 2054.
7/21 At 2230, the Unit stopped increasing power due to a 30%
chemistry hold.
7/22 At 0430, the chemistry hold was removed and the Unit was at full reactor power (825 MWe) by 1300.
7/26 At 0230, power was reduced to 700 MWe for Condenser Water Box cleaning. At 1230, power was increased to 815 MWe so Moderator Temperature Coefficient (MTC) testing could be performed.
7/29 At 2125, MTC testing was completed and the Unit was returned to full power (825 MWe).
7/31 The Unit was at full reactor power (825 MWe) at the end of this reporting period.

==SUMMARY==
OF UNIT 2 OPERATING EXPERIENCE July 1986 7/1 Unit 2 began this reporting period at full reactor power (825 MWe).
7/7  At 1940, Unit 2 reduced power to 495 MWe because of a tripped transformer at Waugh Chapel.
7/8  At 0150, the transformer was back in service and Unit 2 began increasing power. At 0530, Unit 2 was at full reactor power (825 MWe).
7/25 At 1345, commenced shutdown of Unit 2 due to unidentified Reactor Coolant System (RCS) leakage greater than 1 GPM.
7/25 At 1536, the breaker was opened. At 1617, the reactor was shut down. The leakage was found to be due to a failed flexible hose on a seal pressure transmitter. The Unit remained in a shutdown condition to investigate high vibration on #21B RCP.
7/31 Unit 2 was shutdown at the end of this reporting period.

e August 6,1986 REFUELING INFORMATION REQUEST
: 1. Name of Facility: Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1
: 2. Scheduled date for next Refueling Shutdown: October 25,1986
: 3. Scheduled date for restart following refueling: January 4,1987
: 4. Will refueling or resumption of operation thereafter require a technical specification change or other license amendment?
Resumption of operation after refueling will require changes to Technical                -
Specifications. The changes will be such as to allow operation of the plant with a fresh reload batch and reshuffled core.
: 5. Scheduled date(s) for submitting proposed licensing action and supporting information.
September 29,1986
: 6. Important licensing considerations associated with the refueling.
Reload fuel will be similar to that reload fuel inserted into the previous cycle.
: 7. The number of fuel assemblies (a) in the core and (b) in the spent fuel storage pool.
(a) 217                (b) 1000 Spent Fuel Pools are common to Units 1 and 2
: 8.  (a) The present licensed spent fuel pool storage capacity, and (b) the size of any increase in licensed storage capacity that has been requested or is planned, in number of fuel assemblies.

On this format, list the average daily unit power level in MWe-Net for each day in the reporting month. Compute to the nearest whole megawatt.

SUMMARY

I
