We support the safe restart of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.The NRC has been entrusted with ensuring the safety of nuclear facilities and their workers, many of whom are members of the Laborers Local Unions in Southern California, Making sure our members have weii-paying jobs is important, but nothing is more vital than the safety of ithe workers and the general public. I would not allow my members to work in an environnment that is unsafe.I have attended recent NRC meetings and have been closely watching this issue for several months. I am taken back by the way the regulatory process has deteriorated into a politicized, one-sided circus. A vocal minority is being permitted to highjack important proceedings and undermine public engagement. | -T-] | ||
