We will resubmit a correction as you suggested. As for the cover letter, our procedures at this time require us to use the ULNRC cover letter with any formal correspondence with the NRC. I can talk to Regulatory Affairs to see if they will revise, but I will have to conform with that procedure until a revision is approved. We apologize for any inconvenience. Hi Anna, Since Ameren made a submission to the NRC, the cover letter dated November 12, 2014, will be considered an official record and placed in the Agency Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). As I mentioned to you today, we can see your cover letter, but we cannot see your five (5?) single positive test forms that you attached.

It appears as though the package Callaway sent us has some sort of lock or password keeping the e-form attachments from opening. In this format, Callaway does not meet 26.11, because we cannot read the attachments.

As a suggestion, simply sign out another revised cover letter stating that the Nov 12 submission was in error in that the attachments were not readable. When you resubmit the SPTFs, make sure that that they are submitted in the e-form ADOBE form format (i.e., as is and locked), do not re-pdf the NRC-e-forms.

Also, we do not need a cover letter. The SPTFs and the Annual Reporting Forms are stand-alone documents, they are received and administratively profiled automatically here at the Agency, and they can be submitted without a cover letter via the NRCs Electronic Information Exchange (EIE). In fact, I prefer no cover letter.
