Dear Mr. Knighton:

During our meeting on March 20, 1984, APS stated that it would submit addi-tional information to the staff relating to the removal of the pressurizer surge line thermal sleeve. The reference (1) letter documented our state-ment.

Attached please find the additional information which consists of an evalua-tion to support our judgement to remove the surge line thermal liner.

The information provided in the attachment is held by Combustion Engineering to be proprietary information as described in and covered by th'e affidavit submitted with the CHN-264(V)-P report which was provided in our December 30, 1983, submittal, reference (2).
