SELECT SYSTEM REVIEW DECEMBER 1987 PROGRESS Desi Basis Reconstitution Work continues on a risk based assessment of historic Plant Changes/Modifications. Scope finalization is expected in January for the total effort.

Reconstituted design basis documents have been issued for trial use to appropriate groups within the Company.

Reconstitution of design basis for Area Radiation Monitoring, Process Radiation Monitoring and Normal Containment Coolers is expected to start on schedule in January.

Design basis verification activities are proceeding in accordance with the Integrated Schedule.

Safet En ineerin Grou SEG Review System Engineer review of the applicable sections of the Unit 3 closeout report is complete with corrective actions having been initiated where necessary.

Confi ration Mana ement Revisions to the affected drawings resulting from implementation of Select Systems modifications during the Unit 3 Refueling Outage were completed on schedule by January 11, 1988.

Other Si ificant Pro ress o Completed Auxiliary Feedwater (AFW) System steam trap/drain mods.

o Completed AFW pump performance testing/evaluation for modified rotors.

o Completed implementation of PC/M 87-365 for Component Cooling Water (CCW) sample system piping addition.

o Completed CCW vendor technical manual review for storage requirements.

o Revised CCW T&E Drawing to show heat exchanger valve positions.

o Completed modifications to Instrument Air (IA) regulator drain valves.
