NUREG 0737 II.D.l, PERFORMANCE TESTING OF RELIEF AND SAFETY VALVES (TAC 44604) - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NRC letter dated October 20, 1987 requested 10 items of additional information regarding NUREG 0737, Item II.D.l - Performance Testing of Relief and Safety Valves. Consumers Power Company (CPC) letters dated September 14, 1988, May 25, 1988 and March 30, 1989 responded to all of the Items in the request except Item 1. The letter dated September 14, 1988 provided a partial response to Item 1. Attachments 1 & 2 to this letter revise that partial response to Item 1 (block valve and PORV descriptions) provided in our September 14, 1988 letter.

NRC letter dated November 9, 1989 transmitted a Technical Evaluation Report (TER) which evaluates the Palisades compliance with NUREG 0737, Item II.D.l, Performance Testing of Relief and Safety Valves, and requested additional information regarding functional qualification of the new PORV and block valves. That information will duplicate the information requested by Item 1 of the October 20, 1987 RAI. Therefore, as discussed with the NRC Palisades Project Manager, CPC considers all items of the October 20, 1987 RAI to be complete. A description of the functional qualification of the new PORVs and block valves will be provided in our response to the November 9, 1989 Technical Evaluation Report.
