Enclosed is an application (XCOM1317), dated January 25. 2018, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), from Curtiss-Wright Corporation-Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division to export nuclear reactor components and associated equipment listed in Paragraphs 5 through 11 of Appendix A to 10 CFR Part 110, "Illustrative list of nuclear reactor equipment under NRC export licensing authority," for installation into pressurized water reactors at the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant, Units 3 and 4.Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.Please note that the enclosure includes proprietary information.
