Opportunity to review and comment on an NRC information collection (Generic Clearance for the Collection of Feedback on Agency Service Delivery)
Date: Tuesday, June 04, 2019 12:02:00 PM Good afternoon, Mr. Poole -
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently published a Federal Register Notice announcing our intent to submit an information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for the Collection of Feedback on Agency Service Delivery. A supporting statement describing the requested information is available at http://regulations.gov by searching docket NRC-2019-0095.
Under this collection of information, NRC staff requests feedback on our activities that involve the public. This includes items such as our public meeting feedback form, our FOIA user survey, and our public document room user survey. A list of the surveys previously approved under this information collection is available at https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAViewICR?ref_nbr=201612-3150-001 by clicking on the All button at the top of the screen.
As a member of the public who has recently interacted with NRC staff, we are interested in your feedback. Specifically, we are seeking input on the following questions by July 15:
- 1. Is the proposed collection of information necessary for the NRC to properly perform its functions? Does the information have practical utility?
- 2. Is the burden estimate accurate?
- 3. Is there a way to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected?
- 4. How can the burden of the information collection be minimized, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology?
In addition, if you have any general concerns or suggestions about the plan to collect feedback from the public on NRC activities, we would be interested to receive your comments.
Comments can be submitted by going to http://www.regulations.gov and searching for Docket No. NRC-2019-0095. Please note that comments will be made available for public inspection. Because your comments will not be edited to remove any identifying or contact information, the NRC cautions you against including any information in your submission that you do not want to be publicly disclosed.
If you have any questions regarding this correspondence, please contact me via email or telephone.
