September 27 , 2018 Enclosed is an application received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated September 19 , 2018 , from ISOFLEX Radioactive , LLC , for a specific license (PXB226.00) to export Category 1 and 2 quantities of lridium-192 , Selenium-75 and Ytterbium-169 to Pakistan. The sealed source will be used for industrial radiography. Since Pakistan is on the restricted destinations list (10 CFR Part 110.29), before taking action on th i s new request , we would appreciate your views , in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Execut i ve Branch , as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criter i a in th omic Energy Act of 1954 , as amended.
