September 27, 2018 Enclosed is an application received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated September 19, 2018, from ISOFLEX Radioactive, LLC, for a specific license (PXB226.00) to export Category 1 and 2 quantities of lridium-192, Selenium-75 and Ytterbium-169 to Pakistan.
The sealed source will be used for industrial radiography.
Since Pakistan is on the restricted destinations list (10 CFR Part 110.29), before taking action on this new request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in th omic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
