l During an NRC inspection conducted on May 20-24, 1985, a violation of NRC requirements was identified.
The violation involved failure to maintain procedures current.
In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforceeent Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1985), the violation is listed below:

Failure to Maintain Procedures Arkansas Nuc1 car One, Unit 2, Technical Specifications paragraph 6.8.1 states:
" Written procedures shall be established, implemented, and maintained covering the activities referenced below:
. f. Fire protection program implementation...."
Contrary to the above, Procedure 2203.09, " Fire Protection System Annunciator Corrective Action," Revision 0, dated June 26, 1981, Attachment A, 1-5-5, " Corridor by Emergency Control Room Chillers Zone Module " had not been revised to reflect deactivation of remote actuation by closing supply valve for deluge system automatic valve as a result of the granting of an exemption request to deactivate the automatic capability of this deluge valve.
This is a Severity Level V Violation.

Pursuant to the provlsions of 10 CFR 2.201, Arkansas Power & Light Company is hereby required to submit to this office, within 30 days of the date of the letter transmittin0 this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, includin0:
(1) the reason for the violation if admitted, (2) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (3) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (4) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be Diven to extending the response time.
