- CATEGORY ONE MEETING PLANT RADIATION PROGRAM STATUS MEETING - ST. LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NOS. 50-335 AND 50-389

Dear Mr. Stall:

This refers to the meeting conducted at your request at the Region II Office in Atlanta, Georgia on February 25, 2003. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss performance in the area of radiological protection during the St. Lucie Unit 1 -18 refueling outage (SL1-18) and the results of your self-assessment in that area following the outage. Enclosed are a list of attendees and the presentation handout.

The discussions focused on the following topics: Radiation Safety Conditions Prior to SL1-18, SL1-18 Radiological Events, Regulatory Response, Organization Effectiveness, Improving Performance With A Three Pronged Attack, Personnel, Process Improvements, Plant Improvements, Current Situation 2003 Performance, and Going Forward. The meeting was informative and did not result in any specific action items or decisions.
