Mr. Jason Redd, Southern Nuclear Company, led the discussions on the industrys plans to build from previously submitted white papers to develop an advanced reactor guidance document for NRC review and endorsement. Mr. Redds presentation includes an outline for the guidance document as well as identying several issues to resolve during upcoming meetings. The Licensing Modernization Project plans to prepare a draft and provide it to the NRC staff to support continued discussions. The staff provided a presentation summarizing plans to review the industry guidance document and, if appropriate, prepare a regulatory guide endorsing the industry guidance. Both presentations identified requirements governing the content of applications as being the most likely regulations to be addressed by the guidance. | |||
