The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
, at Lacey Township Community Hall, located at 101 N. Main St. in Forked River, N
.J. Exelon, which owns the Lacey facility, submitted the Oyster Creek Post-Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report to the NRC on May 21.
I t includes a description of the company's plans to place the plant into SAFSTOR, or long
-term storage, prior to beginning dismantlement work. A copy of the report is available on the NRC website in the electronic documents section, ADAMS accession number ML18141A775.
NRC will accept public comments on the report until Sept. 10. A Federal Register noti ce provides information on how to submit comments in writing.
Oyster Creek is scheduled to permanently cease operations in September.}}
