The final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) is being issued as part of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) process to decide whether to issue a renewed operating license to FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC), for Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 (DBNPS). In the final SEIS, the NRC staff determined that the adverse environmental impacts of a renewed license for DBNPS are not great enough to deny this option for energy planning decisionmakers.
