ASSIGNMENT OF PROJECT MANAGERS WITHIN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION, OFFICE OF NUCLEAR REACTOR REGULATION, JAPAN LESSONS-LEARNED DIVISION The purpose of this letter is to inform licensees that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has completed its assignment of project managers, within the Japan Lessons-Learned Division, to facilitate the managing of NRC Orders EA-12-049, "Issuance of Order to Modify Licenses with Regard to Requirements for Mitigation Strategies for Beyond-Design-Basis External Events," EA-12-051, "Issuance of Order to Modify Licenses with Regard to Reliable Spent Fuel Pool Instrumentation," and EA-13-109, "Issuance of Order to Modify Licenses with Regard to Reliable Hardened Containment Vents Capable of Operation Under Severe Accident Conditions" (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML12054A736, ML12054A679 and ML13143A321, respectively), and the Request for Information letter (ADAMS Accession No. ML12053A340) issued pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50, Section 50.54(f), regarding Recommendation 2.1 (seismic and flooding evaluations), Recommendation 2.3 (seismic and flooding walkdowns), and Recommendation 9.3 (emergency preparedness communication and staffing) of the Near-Term Task Force (NTTF) review of insights from the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident. includes the project managers and their respective assigned nuclear plants. These project managers will serve as the primary point of contact in processing NRC Orders EA 049, EA-12-051, and EA-13-109, and NTTF Recommendation 9.3fortheirassigned plants.

Please use these project managers as your primary points of contact and include them on your distribution list to receive correspondence related to the NRC orders and Recommendation 9.3 for their assigned plants.

Regarding NTTF Recommendations 2.1 and 2.3, Mr. Robert Kuntz and Mr. Nicholas DiFrancesco are assigned as the lead project managers for flooding and seismic, respectively.
