The requested information regarding primary reactor pressure vescel weldments has already been supplied to the NRC by the Jersey Central Power 6 1,ight (JCP6L) submittal dated January 12, 1978 to the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, titled " Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program". | |||

We have contacted Combustion Engineering, Inc. (C-E), the supplier of the Oyster Creek reactor vessel, concerning items 2 6 3. | |||
They have informed us that they are proposing a revision to IE Bulletin 78-12. | |||
Their recommended revision was sent to Mr. Darold D. Thornburg by C-E {{letter dated|date=November 3, 1978|text=letter dated November 3, 1978}}. | |||
C-E will keep us informed on the status of their recommendations. | |||
When a decision is reached, C-E will send un the required information which will then be forwarded to you. | |||
No repair welding has been performed on the reactor pressure vessel by JCP6L. | |||

The JCPSL Quality Assurance Department has available archive weld material which can be used for verification purposes. | |||

The number corresponding to each item below represents the number of the iten of information requested in IE Bulletin No. 78-12 of September 29, 1978.

The requested information regarding primary reactor pressure vescel weldments has already been supplied to the NRC by the Jersey Central Power 6 1,ight (JCP6L) submittal dated January 12, 1978 to the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, titled " Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program".

We have contacted Combustion Engineering, Inc. (C-E), the supplier of the Oyster Creek reactor vessel, concerning items 2 6 3.
They have informed us that they are proposing a revision to IE Bulletin 78-12.
