design and have found that this change would not present significant hazards considerations not described or implicit in the license application as amended to June 23, 1961, and t, hat there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered by operation of the facility as proposed. A copy of our related hazards analysis is enclosed.

In view of the foregoing, Yankee Atomic Electric Company is hereby I

authorized under License No. DPR-3 to use control md followers of the new design in the reactor in accordance with Yankee's request dated July 17, 1962 entitled Proposed Change Mo. 26.
