Dear Mr. Denton:

This is to inform you of a change to our schedule for initiation of the detailed control room review at Byron and Braidwood in accorandance'with NUREG 0700.

As indicated in reference (a), the NRC staf f has agreed to provide comments on the detailed control room review program plan described in Attachment 1 to reference (b).

Commonwealth Edison is now preparing a similar plan which will be used in all future such design reviews of Commonwealth Edison plants.

This review plan will be submitted for NRC revirw on March 1, 1982, and is the one which will be used for the Byro.1/Braidwood review.

Approval of the plan attached to reference (b) is no longer revquired.

Please address further questions regarding this matter to this office.
