Enclosed are 4 copies of the " Robert E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Training and C'ualification Plan for Security Officers " Revision 3" dated June 27,1994. The revised Training and 01alification Plan is being submitted under the provisions of 10CFR50.54(p) as it does not degrade the security of the plant.
Important features of the revised Training and Qualification Plan are that it:
eliminates the requirement to operate the handheld explosive detector, as it has been replaced by an additional portal explosive detector for increased redundancy.
exempts Security Training Department instructors from the requirement to requalify yearly on certain critical security tasks.
The 12 gauge shotgun course of fire has been modified to:
eliminate the requalification requirement to fire the shotgun from the hip, 1
modify the minimum score requirement for 12 gauge shotgun requalification from 50% to 80W.
