By letter dated December 4, 1996, you submitted revisions to the quality i

assurance program for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No. 1, pursuant to J

10 CFR 50.54(a). The NRC staff has reviewed the submittal and determined that l

the changes are acceptable in that the quality assurance program continues to i

meet the requirements of Appendix B of 10 CFR Part 50. A summary of the i

staff's evaluation is enclosed.

The effectiveness of your quality assurance program implementation will continue to be the subject of routine NRC j

inspections.
