Dear Mr. Reddemann:

j We received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) correspondence on April 5,1999, transmitting the FEMA evaluation report for the November 3,1998 En.argency Preparedness Exercise at the Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant.

A Deficiency was identified for Manitowoc County as a result of this exercise; however, the county corrected it immediately after the exercise. FEMA also reported that the State of i

Wisconsin had adequately addressed a planning issue.

I in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed FEMA correspondence will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
