This refers to the routine safety inspections conducted by I. Villalva and

J. Wiebe and of this office from September 27 through December 5,1986, of

activities at the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor authorized by NRC Operating

License No. DPR-45 and to the discussion of our findings with J. Parkyn and

G. Boyd and other members of your staff during the course of the inspections.

The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during

the inspections. Within these areas, the inspections consisted of a selective

interviews with personnel.

No violations of NRC requirerrents were identified during the course of this

inspection.
