C. C. Harbuck of this office during the period July 6-10, 1987, of at.tivities | |||
authorized by NRC Operating Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, | |||
Units 1 and 2, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. M. Levine and | |||
other membrs of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. | |||
Areas examined during the inspection i~cluded licensed-operator training and | |||

requalification programs, and the nonlicensed staff training program. | |||
Within | |||
these areas, the inspection consisted 0:7 selective examination of procedures and | |||
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the NRC | |||
inspectors. | |||
The inspection findings are documentec! in the enclosed inspection | |||
report. | |||
During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities were | |||
potential violations of NRC requirements. | |||
However, since the potential | |||
violations are related to training, they are not cited herein as violations but | |||
are considered to be unresolved items in accordance with the Commission Policy | |||
Statement on Training and Qualification of Nuclear Power Plant Personnel | |||
(50 FR 11147). | |||
No response is required; however, your attention to the | |||
unresolved items that have the potential of becoming violations in the future is | |||
warranted. | |||
The unresolved items.are identified in paragraph 4 of the enclosed | |||
inspection report. | |||
We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously | |||
identified inspection findings. | |||
The status of these items is identified in | |||
paragraph 2 of the enclosed report. | |||
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to | |||
