As indicated in Reference (b), on January 6,1987, the NRC Staf f met with New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) to discuss the actions that. need to be taken to withdraw the Ser.hron Station 'Jnit 2 Construction. ?c: rmi t.

l Discussion items included topica such as treatment of common facili-ties, the FSAR, etc. and wit'.nirawal of the Unit 2 Operating License application.

During more recent discussions with the NRC Staff, it appeared that questions have arisan concerning infc,rmation to be supplied and rctions to be taken.

It was concluued that the best course of action to resolve this situation would be to schedule a second meeting similar to that held in January. The purpot.e of this meett ng would be to discuss future NRC/

NHY activities in support of withdrawing the Construction Fermit and the Unit 2 Operating License applicati<.o.

Accordingly, NHY requests a meeting with the NRC Statf.ancerning future Unit 2 Construction Permit / Operating License withdrawal act bities.

In this regard, please contact the NHY Bethesda Licensing Office (Mr. R. E.

Sweeney) at (301) 656-6100 to arrange a mutually agreeable date.
